A Bright, Fully Waterproof Shower Space
The customer had a bath in their apartment that had been leaking into the apartment below.
Problem
The Problem Behind the Tiles
The customer’s apartment bathroom had developed a leak from the bath, which had begun affecting the apartment below. Their main concern was not simply replacing the bath, but ensuring the new installation would be completely waterproof and prevent any future leaks.
The room also had no window or natural light, making it feel quite dark. Alongside fixing the leak, the customer wanted a shower space that would be easy to maintain while keeping the room bright and practical.
Solution
A Shower Built to Stay Watertight
The bath was removed and replaced with a dedicated shower area designed to be fully waterproof and easy to maintain.
Once the old tiles were removed it became clear the leak had damaged the plasterboard behind them. The affected sections were removed and reboarded to provide a solid base for the new installation.
The walls were then fully tanked, creating a waterproof barrier behind the finished surfaces. The tanking was sealed down onto the shower tray so that the entire shower area was completely waterproof before the wall finish was installed.
Multipanel wall boards were then fitted to provide a bright, durable and grout-free finish that is easy to clean.

The main aim of this project was to resolve the leak and install a properly waterproofed shower. By repairing the damaged walls, installing the new tray and plumbing, and fully tanking the shower area before applying the wall finish, the enclosure is now completely watertight.
The finished bathroom is brighter, easier to maintain and designed to give the customer peace of mind for years to come.
